A Morning In May In The Garden

I’ve never really had a garden before. It has been the missing connection to my knowledge of food…what grows, what dies, what fights to live and what just gives up. It is an interesting observation and humbling to contemplate how trying it must have been to feed your family from the land. How you probably had to have a food network with your neighbors to trade for variety. Here are a few photos from the All Organic plot at Lake Highlands Community Garden…to the pessimist, yes, I know it is May in Texas!!!
